Internal Complaint Committee (ICC)

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) has been formed to address issues under VISHAKA GUIDELINES AGAINST SEXUAL HARASSMENT AT WORKPLACE AND THE SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE (PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL) ACT, 2013.

The purpose of this committee is to provide protection against sexual harassment of women at workplace and for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. The committee provide a platform to express their grievances freely without any fear of being victimized. The women employees / students can raise their grievances through SMS / Call / Email / Letter / Website. The committee takes the responsibility for ensuring the prohibition and redressal of any kind of women grievances in the institute

Objectives, Roles and Responsibilities of College Internal Complaint Committee

1. Implementation of the Anti–Sexual Harassment Policy at the workplace and prevent discrimination.
2. Submit an Annual Report
3. Create awareness at the workplace by way of documents, notices, workshops, seminars, etc.
4. Create awareness of the policy framework amongst all primary stakeholders.
5. Provide a safe and accessible mechanism of complaint to the victims
6. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of any proceedings of the Committee
7. Recommend appropriate redressal and punitive action against the guilty to the Management.

GCOE, Nagpur hold awareness programme on Sexual Harassment at workplace Act

Government College of Engineering, Nagpur recently organised an expert talk on Sexual harassment at workplace Act under Students Grievance Cell & Internal Complain Committee (ICC) on 25/11/2022. The occasion was blessed with the presence of Chief Guest Advocate AmrutaGhonge, who is practicing advocate at Nagpur since 20 years. Topic of the Webinar was “Sexual Harrassment at workplace Act”.  In the speech, Mrs.Ghonge explained in detail about the act & encouraged the girl students how to be active in her field & when this act is to be applicable

Counseling Session by Dr.Sachin Parab under Students Grievance Cell

Counselling session by Dr. Sachin Parab who is counsellor & corporate trainer of Peace of mind channel was organised on 15/05/2023 for students of GCoE, Nagpur. He emphasized on suicidal cases, stressful life of youngsters & how we can improve mind power by meditation which will help to reduce stress.

Topic of the Webinar was “Sexual Harrassment Act”.  In the speech, Mrs. Ghonge explained in detail about the act & encouraged the girl students how to be active in her field & when this act is applicable.

I/C Principal Dr. N.D.Ghawghawe, highlighted on Government facilities for. Also mentioned that our college is ready to provide necessary facilities for the exposure of girl students in every manner, student can decide up to what extent they wish to shine with flying colours.

Dr. J.B.Randhawa, First Year coordinator proposed vote of thanks. Students Grievance Cell coordinator Ms. Yashasvi Sherke compered the programme All Heads, Deans, faculty members & students were prominently present for the programme.
